Seeing how the weather has been like, Stephanie and I thought it would be nice to turn all this rain into something fun for our kids – so we packed up our gear (and there was lots of it!) and headed up to Bear Valley for a short getaway. I didn’t realize how much stuff we had to bring with us – we managed to bring everything but the kitchen sink! Fortunately, I managed to sneak my still camera gear into the now overly packed van and we headed to the snow. I was first reluctant to expose my “new” camera to the falling snow but kept reminding myself that these cameras were made to be water resistant. So…I took a deep breath and put the camera strap over my shoulder and off I went. Boy was I glad I did because I was able to grab some nice candid shots of the kids having fun. This was my first real world (in real weather) test of the camera and it performed beautifully. I had left my flash back at the cabin so I relied mostly on the sky as natural fill light – which was perfectly soft. Here are some of my favorites…hope you enjoy them!
